Brochureware

Definition

Brochureware is where a company has simply taken printed brochures and converted them into a website without any allowance for how users interact with the web. Such sites are static and have no interactivity built into the design.

These types of sites have largely gone by the wayside as search engines such as Google reward quality and fresh content over static and outdated content. This has encouraged many websites to offer blogs to ensure new content is regularly published on their sites.
