Peripheral Vision

Definition

Peripheral vision is often more important than central vision to understand what we are looking at because central vision only captures what we are directly focussed on. Peripheral vision covers the rest of the visual field and we rely on this to get information on the type of image or scene we are looking at. Also see eye tracking.
