Your affiliate, Google Ads and Meta budgets are set on the FTDs your iGaming analytics reports. At £100k a month on affiliates and paid media, a 10% gap between those figures and your back office is £120k a year of budget moved on the wrong number.
iGaming tracking means recording every registration, first-time deposit (FTD) and subsequent deposit across your casino, bingo or sportsbook brands, so GA4, your ad platforms, your affiliate tracker and your back office agree. We start with a Senior Diagnostic, a fixed price from £1,500 + VAT, done by Neal Cole‘s senior team using the method he wrote for CXL’s official GA4 and GTM audit course.
Working with casino, bingo and sportsbook operators since 2016.

Neal Cole was a Senior Conversion Optimisation Manager at Entain before founding Conversion Uplift, and is the author of CXL’s official GA4 and GTM audit course. Conversion Uplift has worked with gambling clients since it was established in 2016. We provide ongoing digital analytics support to top igaming brands, plus conducting GA4 audits, GTM audits and server-side tracking migrations for multiple brands.
Gambling clients we’ve worked with include Casumo, Fortunate Media, playbgocasino.com, Broadway Gaming and Joe Fortune. You’ll talk to Neal; his team of experienced analysts does the build and the weekly work.

We track registrations, verification, First-Time-Deposits (FTDs), subsequent deposits, bet slips, jackpots, tournaments and PWA installs, across every brand, mirror and partner site. These are the six places operators most often lose the numbers their budgets depend on.
The cashier pushes deposit success and error events to the data layer, and we send each confirmed deposit server-to-server from your back office into server-side GTM through the Stape Data Client, so the count no longer depends on the player’s browser surviving the payment redirect. Cancelled and quick deposits are tracked separately, and GA4 is reconciled against the back office by brand every week. You bid and judge affiliates on FTD counts within a few per cent of finance’s figure, instead of discounting GA4 by a guess on every pound of spend.
Affiliate IDs are captured from the URL or a cookie, and then we set them as 1st party cookie or a data layer variable to persist through registration to the first deposit. This ensures each FTD in GA4 carries the affiliate ID that sent it. FTD signals reach Meta CAPI, Google Ads enhanced conversions, AdForm, M20 and Voluum from the server with a shared event ID, so nothing is counted twice. You put next month’s deals and budget behind the affiliates and channels whose players actually deposit, and cut spend on the ones that only send registrations.
Ad blockers, browser extensions and Safari ITP take 10% to 15% of browser-side conversions. Server-side GTM on first-party endpoints, set up on every mirror domain and checked monthly for new ones, keeps tracking running where client-side scripts get blocked. We also check each domain loads GTM once. For one multi-brand casino group, we rolled out a cross-domain fix across nine sites: the affiliate or click ID captured on the first domain a player lands on is now carried to the deposit on whichever mirror they end up using, so first deposits keep the affiliate that sent them. Reporting and bidding carry on through a domain switch, rather than losing a fortnight of FTD data and the spend decisions that depend on it each time. Server-side implementation is quoted separately: see server-side tracking.
OneTrust or your CMP wired into GTM with consent mode v2, geolocation in the data layer so session recording and tags respect regional rules (for example exclude tags from firing in non-core regions), and test accounts and bots filtered out of reporting. We document what each tag collects and when it fires, so your compliance team has audit-ready evidence when the UKGC or the ICO asks under PECR. You answer a regulator’s question in a day with a record, and the reports your marketing budget is set on stay clean of internal traffic. For example, one operator’s pseudo-user count fell 20% after a test-account filter was implemented.
Multi-brand Looker Studio Pro reporting on BigQuery, fed by GA4 and your back-office exports, gives leadership deposits, FTDs, jackpots, tournaments and sportsbook KPIs by brand in one place. For one group we cut the data processed per refresh from 500GB to 12GB and made dashboards 30% faster to load. Leadership moves budget weekly on numbers it can rely on, instead of waiting for month-end. See GA4 with BigQuery.
Tracking Monitor health checks in BigQuery and GA4 alerts on registrations and revenue, give us the abiity to quickly identify when something on the website breaks. This allows our clients to respond as appropriate to fix a cashier or the data layer before a week of affiliate and paid media spend goes on campaigns that report zero FTDs. See Tracking Monitor.
Where the funnel evidence points to a site change, FullStory and Zuko show where players drop out of sign-up and the cashier; we rank the fixes by value and hand test build to our experimentation partners.
Keep it. Trackers such as Voluum, Affise and RedTrack, and the affiliate system built into your platform, are good at counting clicks and postbacks. What they don’t do is check that GA4, your ad platforms and the tracker agree with the deposits in your back office, and that’s where affiliate deals and budgets go wrong.
We connect them using affiliate IDs and click IDs carried from the landing page to the first deposit, postbacks and server-side events sharing one event ID, and a weekly reconciliation by brand. If you’re comparing an iGaming tracking solution, this is the layer that makes whichever tracker you choose hold up.
Stape, our server-side hosting partner, explains the server-side part in Server-side tracking for iGaming.

Most operators start with the Senior Diagnostic, because it puts a £ figure on the gap before anyone pays for a fix.
These are the problems we find most often on casino, bingo and sportsbook sites, across GA4 audits, multi-brand migrations, server-side builds and weekly retainers since 2016.

Your brands, platform, affiliate and paid media set-up, and what the gap is costing. Usually worth it from £20k a month on affiliates and paid media.
We reconcile a month of deposits and FTDs against your back office, walk the registration and cashier journeys, check affiliate IDs reach the deposit, and give you ranked fixes with a £ value on each.
Once we’re building: a weekly update with the benefit of every task, a weekly call, a shared backlog and direct work with your platform provider’s developers.
It covers recording registrations, verification, deposits, FTDs, bet slips and affiliate traffic across every casino, bingo and sportsbook brand and mirror site, and reconciling them with the back office so GA4, your affiliate tracker, your ad platforms and finance agree.
We record each player’s first deposit (FTD) as a conversion in GA4 and your ad platforms. GA4 falls short when the deposit confirms after a payment redirect, when ad blockers or Safari stop the browser tags, or when GTM loads twice. Sending confirmed deposits server-to-server from the back office, and reconciling weekly, brings GA4 to within a few per cent. It will never match exactly, which is why we report the gap by brand.
No. An iGaming tracking solution like Voluum, Affise or your platform’s affiliate system counts clicks and postbacks well. We make it, GA4 and your ad platforms agree with the deposits in your back office, by carrying affiliate and click IDs through to the first deposit and sharing one event ID between postbacks and server-side events.
Each mirror domain gets its own first-party server-side endpoint and GTM snippet, checked monthly for new domains. Affiliate and click IDs are stored at the first click and carried through registration to the deposit, so attribution survives a domain switch.
No. PECR covers setting and reading cookies and similar identifiers on the player’s device, and server-side tracking still does that, so the ICO’s consent rules still apply. Server-side GTM gives you more control over what reaches each platform; consent still decides whether it’s collected.
We don’t certify compliance or give legal advice. We document what every tag collects and when it fires, fix what fires too early, and give your compliance team audit-ready evidence. Legal interpretation goes to a data-protection specialist we partner with.
We work with white-label casino platforms and their back-office exports, Stape server-side GTM, GA4 and GA360, BigQuery, Looker Studio Pro, Meta CAPI, Google Ads, AdForm, M20, Voluum, OneTrust, FullStory and Zuko.
Yes. Our team checks AI-drafted audits and AI answers over BigQuery against the containers and the back office, using the method Neal Cole wrote for CXL’s official GA4 and GTM audit course.

Conversion Uplift is led by Neal Cole, author of the official GA4/GTM audit course for CXL, not “CXL-trained” like much of the field, but the person who wrote the course. Behind him is an experienced team with a background in the sectors where getting measurement wrong is most expensive: financial services and gaming. The person who audits your setup is the person who fixes it.
