How can you Use GA4 for Tracking Form Field Interactions?

If you want to use GA4 for form analytics here’s a quick tip to supercharge your use of GA4! 📊 Watch my short video below for full details, but here is a summary:

🚀 The Plan: Get a developer to add data layer pushes to each form field. Ask the developer to fire these when a user enters 3 characters or chooses a drop-down option.

🚀 GTM: Create a single trigger in GTM and event tag to track the interactions.

⏱️ Time Tracking: Create a Funnel report in GA4 which allows you to measure the time elapsed between interactions on each field. Get insights like you’ve never had before!

🎉 Closing the Deal: Make sure to fire an event for those all-important successful submissions.

🔥 Why You Need This:

Identify drop-off points.
Measure interaction time.
Take your GA4 reports to the next level.
